Week 14" How the title of my book is special.

I am reading the novel "Catch", by Will Letch. Questions come to mind while reading my novel; what does the title of my book mean, why did the author choose the title for this book, and why is the title to this book so special? As I read further in to the novel I notice the author uses the word "catch" to described motions and actions of the characters in the novel. I feel that this gives a hint to the reader as to why the title of the book is called "Catch". In my opinion the title of the book is realated to the situation of Tim Temples the main character and his new girlfriend Helena. In my words, Helena is Tims "catch" of the summer because this is the first time Tim has felt strong feelings for a women. I think the author choose this title to describe the situation between Tim and Helena. The title is so special for many reasons to give hint to the reader what the book could be about, the situation of the characters, also the book has to do alot with base ball, so I think the title has somthing to do with baseball situation of the story. All of the reasons stated above is why I believe the title of this book is so special. As a reader if I had a choice to change the title, I would not because the title brings questions to mind before reading the back cover; is this book about baseball ,a flu maybe or is it about a guy and a girl possibly falling in love. Well the reader don't know untill they read the book. I feel the title of the book really does pull the reader in to want to read more. I would recomend this book to any reader who likes to read about baseball, love, and comedy.

Good day readers! Still reading the book "catch". The book gets better and better evey time I pick the book up and read. The story makes me laugh.
Well books are not the only material I feel is important to read. I feel as a reader that it is important to read somthing everyday weather it is a magazine, newspaper, internet news or billboard. I feel with the invention of cell phones and internet people don't read about the same subjects as what they use to when I was a kid. I hardley ever see anyone pick up a newspaper anymore, even myself. The only person I know that ever knows the news is my mother and she just relays the mesage to me, but that is just not enough to know what is really going on in the world. I believe that one of the most important readable materials is the newspaper because a person gets to know whats going on in the world. I don't think people know the news like they use to and its making people dum down from knowing the important stuff as compare to music and pop culture. Reading the newspaper or a few articles from the newspaper could give important knowledge to a person that did't know about a certain somthing before picking up and reading. For readers I would say it is important to pick somthing up and just read it for the benifits of being able to comprehend words faster, read faster and to build a bigger vocabulary. This is my free response today readers and remeber to just read weather you like it or not it is good for you health. WORK THAT MUSCLE IN UR SKULL! IT NEEDS IT!

Hello readers! I am curently still reading the novel, "Catch" by, Will Leitch. I belive by the time I complete reading this book it will be one of my favorites. I love the humor in the story. One of my favorite characters is Tim brother Doug. I feel Doug's pain of emotion in the book. Doug is Tim brother who had a hard decesion of weather to go to college or go to the major leguages. Doug really wanted to go play for his favorite baseball team and earn lots of money for the job. Instead Doug's parents talk him in to college. At the time that Doug began college it was a good idea. Now Doug feels it ruin his life cause he missed out on the oppertunity to play for his favorite team. Doug did not finish school and now hangs at home with his parents act as though he is depressed. Doug's additude towards college has his brother Tim the main person of the story in a bit of a pickle about going to college. Tim worried college could ruin his life. I think Tim should go to school regardless of what his brothers experince of school was. At this point in time I am in to the book where Tim goes into work and gives Helena a fake rose and a card for her birthday and feels like it was going to be the best prank ever but that idea was shot down when Helena thanks him. Tim storms out of Helena office. I thought that sceen was very cute. I think Tim is a really sweet guy in this novel and try to be a lady killer. Tim and his brothr just crack me up. If anyone wants to know if this is a good book to read .... YES IT IS.

Letter to the author

March 30th,2010

Dear Will Leitch,

The book “Catch” is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone that ask to recommend a good book. I love some of the conversations that the main character Tim has with his co-worker Helena. My favorite part is when Tim describes Helena when he walks in to the room for his interview at the plant. Tim and Helena relationship of how mean they are to each other cracks me up. My favorite prank is when Tim sticks, sticky notes Helena disk. I thought the sticky note situation was cute and funny. I like how the story is based on a small town in Illinois and gives readers a taste of what Illinois is like in away. One of the reasons why I picked up this book , is because the story is based on a small town in Illinois and I thought “how cool a story about my state and also the author from the same state”. I think it is awesome to read a book about a story based in the state I live in. I do have a few questions that I had come to mind about that book while reading. Is the story based on your experiences? Did you observe the behavior in the small towns in Illinois in order to write the book? What inspired you to write the book? Have you always been a writer? How many years did you go to school before you wrote your first book? How much dose a writer make off a published book? If you could answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it. Since I have been reading the story I will say I am interested in reading other books you have published. I think you should continue writing amazing book so I can continue reading them.

Sincerely,

JAMIE

WEEK 10 free response

My last post I talked about how I was going to began reading the book "Blackwood Farm" by Anne Rice. In the last post I discribed what I had investigated from reading the back cover and what other people had told me about the book. I began reading the book with joy to find out who my exact main characters would be. So far in to the book my main characters are Quinn, Goblin and Lestat. Quinn starts the story off with a letter he writes to Lestat in help to get rid of his best companion Goblin. Goblin is threating his friend Quinn by hurting him after he has his dinner. By the word "dinner" I mean vampire dinner. Not only is Goblin a threat to Quinn his friend, Goblin is also a threat to the vampire race for his thirst for blood. Somthing has to be done to Goblin or he could wipe out the whole vampire race as Quinn knows it. Quinn wrote the letter but is not sure that Lestat will come to help him or will kill him and Goblin both for the sake of the vampire race. I feel this letter that Quinn wrote to Lestat is going to be a big part of the book to what going to happen to Quinn and Goblin. I am still reading to find out when my favorite character Lestat is going to show up in the book. When Lestat shows up to Quinn's house I am sure the book is going to get more intense then it already is, because Lestat is one of the oldest vampires around and most knowledgeable. I would recomend this book to anyone who enjoys Ann Rice novels or vampire novels. Overall from what I have read I like the book and the vocabulary that I have learn so far from reading.

Free chocie response!!!!!week 7

I would like to comment that I have finish reading the book "LIAR". SO This week I am going to begin reading A book by Ann Rice called, "Blackwood Farm". My mom sugested this book to me because I enjoy reading fantasy and about vampires. I have not read the book yet but I am going to begin reading the book today. The story takes place down south on a farm, near a swamp. My main chachter is name Quinn who is made in to a vampire against his will, losing all that he owns and has work hard for. This terrifies Quinn as he is on the search for the vampire Lestat. Quinn is in the hope to find some ansers to some screts that the swamp near his house conceals. Vampir Lestat is a chacter in many other of Ann Rice books such as "interview with the vampir and "Queen of the Dam". I enjoy reading those two books and when I relized that Lestat was going to play a roll in the book "Blackwood Farm" I became excited. Lestat is one of my favorite charcters that Ann Rice writes into many of her books. I am curious to read and find out the time setting that the book was written in to. Many of Ann Rice stories take place in todays time but reflecting alot on past history settings. Well this all I know about this book and now it is time to stop bloggin and start reading. I am wanting to read this book really bad to find out what Lestat is going to do next in this story.

Letter to the main Charactor

Dear Micah,

I am writing to ask a few questions and tell you how I feel about your continous lies. I know why you said you lie but I don't understand why you feel the need to lie to get attiontion. When you lie it bothers me very much because it makes me feel like I can not trust you nor do I know what to believe about ur stories.I want to know if you are really a wolf. I think ur not telling the truth. That you as a wolf is the biggist line of crap I have ever heard. I also wonder why you would lie about having a brother. When I found out that you did not have a brother my feelings were very hurt. My question is are you crazy have some mental issue that need to be resolved. Who in their right mind whould lie about having a sibling. You have the right step by admiting to your selve that you lie but the next step is to stop. Just simply stop telling fibs. Micah as a reader I am very concerned about you and I am scared to see what could happen next if you continue to make up stories that are not true. Even when you tell a story that has some truth, Micah it is still a lie. I can't wait to read the rest of ur story and see if you try to make a effort to change or if you are going to keep on the same path to ruin ur life.

Sincerly,

your reader,
Jamie Troeger.

P.S...... YOU SUCK!
