Apocalypse 2012 free responds
This week I am curently reading "Apocalypse 2012" by,Lawrence E. Joseph, for my reading 104 class and for personal enjoyment. I have read a few chapters of the book and overall I find it interesting but at the same time boring. "Apocalypse 2012" is about the author and his research to find out the facts of what could happen to life as we know it in the year 2012. The book covers alot of good points such as, extinction,radiation of the earth,nuclear winter,and the predictions of the Maya's. I began reading this book at the request of a friend, also because I don't feed into the year 2012 the earth is going to end. My friend swears that I will chanage my mind that the world could end tomorrow. I really don't think the book will change my mind because I have read so much already and still don't feed in to it. I think people have gotten the wrong concept. From what I am getting out of the book is that the end of the world could happen tomorrow for all we know it. The author brings that subject up in the introduction. I agree with the author. I am very excited to find out more. I am interested in reading about the nucular winter chapter,and research the author documated, because YellowStone National Park plays a big roll in that if it were to happen. YellowStone National Park has a supervocano under it and if it blows it supposly would cover the united states in a big cloud of dust that it would cause the states to go in to winter for 50 years. As I read more i will be more then happy to post more blogs on whats going on in the book "Apocalypse 2012".

i dont think the world will end in 2012. i think it'll get better ywa but not worse. if the world comes to an end im going after all my enemies and the one to come before i go lol.
ReplyDeleteDoes this book reflect to anything that is happening today. Have it changed your perspective and make you want to do more? Would you recomend this book to anybody els.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't feed into the whole mayan thing. I don't want to be offensive but if they can predict the end of the world you would think they would know to bail before the conquistadors got there. Besides I believe the Bible, the trumpets the seals. I believe in the signs written about in revalation. Either way we all gotta go someday.

ReplyDeleteyes I will do a book chat. Yes i would recomend this book to others if they like to read about science and predictions. No I havn't really change my mind and think the world going to end but the book dose bring up some good facts in it and help to fill in the gaps to make you understand y people think the world going to end. In reality the world is not going to end, the human race could. I am not worried.
